The Case for Indoor

Eastern NC weather shouldn't decide when you play

If you play around here, you already know the drill: summer afternoons too hot to be worth it, raw December-to-February mornings that keep you home, pop-up storms that wash out a session you planned all week, and a glance at the radar before every game. Indoor courts end all of that.

Rain never cancels

Pop-up thunderstorm rolling in off the river? Doesn't matter. Play goes on, dry and on schedule, no matter what the sky is doing outside.

Beat the heat & the cold

Climate-controlled year-round. Skip the 98° summer afternoons and the raw December-to-February mornings — every session plays like a perfect day.

Play morning to night

Long summer evenings or dark winter ones, weekday mornings or weekend afternoons — consistent lighting and open doors year-round.

What We're Building

Four courts, purpose-built for indoor play

We're not converting a warehouse and calling it a day. Phase 1 is a ground-up, purpose-built facility designed around real pickleball play — proper court spacing, generous end-zones, and room to grow.

Good Questions

Is this really happening?

Is this actually happening, or just an idea?

It's real and moving. We have a Phase 1 design in progress for four indoor courts, and are working through the site and permitting steps now. This page is how we're building our founding community alongside the build — the more interest we see, the faster and bigger we can go.

When will you open?

We're targeting early 2027. Building from the ground up means bringing in utilities, site work, and construction, so we're giving an honest window rather than a date we can't promise. The moment we have a firm opening date, everyone on the founding list hears it first.

Where in New Bern will it be?

Right here in New Bern — the first indoor pickleball courts within about 40 miles. We're finalizing now and will share the exact location once everything's locked in. Join the list and you'll get the announcement the day we can make it.

How much will it cost to play?

We're still finalizing our membership and open-play pricing. We plan to cap membership to make sure members can actually get on a court when they want to play, rather than overselling access. Founding-list members will get our best early rates and first access — signing up now is the surest way to lock in founding pricing when it's set.

Will there be leagues, lessons, and open play?

That's the plan. We're designing for a mix of organized league play, open/rec sessions, and room for lessons and clinics. Telling us your skill level and whether leagues interest you (right in the form above) directly shapes how we program the courts.

What does joining the list actually get me?

Progress updates as the facility comes together, first notice on the opening date and location, and first crack at discounted founding memberships. Since we plan to cap membership to protect court time, the founding list is also how you get a spot before they're limited. No cost, no commitment — just a front-row seat and the best rates we'll ever offer.
